Captain Nasaruddin was appointed President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) in February 2026. He is also an Executive Director of MAG and Malaysia Airlines Berhad.
With more than three decades of experience in the aviation industry, Captain Nasaruddin brings a rare combination of frontline flying experience and senior executive leadership. He began his career as a commercial pilot and has since held a range of leadership roles spanning airline operations, training, safety, and organisational transformation.
Widely respected for his operational discipline and people-centred leadership, Captain Nasaruddin has been closely involved in strengthening safety culture, developing aviation talent, and guiding organisations through periods of change in a highly regulated and complex operating environment.
Captain Nasaruddin draws on extensive real-world experience in aviation leadership, safety management, transformation, and resilience. His perspectives are shaped by decades of operating at the intersection of people, performance, and purpose in one of the world’s most demanding industries.
