VP of Global Enterprise Sustainability

Allison Melia is Vice President of Global Enterprise Sustainability for The Boeing Company. Named to this role in December 2025, she leads a global team responsible for advancing the company’s sustainability priorities, including stakeholder engagement, policies and reporting related to environmental initiatives, performance and risk mitigation.
Ms. Melia previously served as Senior Director and Chief of Staff for Government Operations, Global Public Policy & Corporate Strategy, providing operational oversight and strategic guidance to strengthen the company’s competitiveness through advocacy and community engagement.
Since joining Boeing in 2017, Ms. Melia has also held leadership roles in International Operations and Policy; International Strategic Partnerships and Business Development for Defense, Space & Security; and Strategy for Global Services.
Prior to Boeing, Ms. Melia served for 10 years at the Central Intelligence Agency in several analytic and managerial positions, receiving numerous Exceptional Performance Awards for her contributions to U.S. national security.
Ms. Melia was Director for Pakistan and Afghanistan at the White House National Security Council, regularly advising the President, Vice President and National Security Advisor. She began her career in Government as an analyst at the Defense Intelligence Agency. After leaving Government service, Ms. Melia was Director of Analysis at Crumpton Group, a strategic advisory firm in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Melia holds a bachelor’s degree in economics cum laude from Harvard University, a master’s degree in economics from George Mason University and an executive leadership certificate from the London School of Economics. She has lectured on national security at Georgetown University and the University of Pittsburgh. Passionate about the arts, Ms. Melia serves on the Board of Directors of The Washington Ballet.
