Katherine Katina
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for International Armanents Cooperation (Acting)
Katherine Katina is currently the Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for International Armaments Cooperation. In this capacity, she oversees the strategic priorities and operational management of the Department of War’s international cooperative agreements; coordination of international industrial cooperation efforts; and integration across the security cooperation enterprise.
In her permanent capacity, she serves as the Director of International Cooperation within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment, where she leads the department’s efforts to expand cooperation with international partners to strengthen the defense industrial base.
Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Katina was the Director of International Programs at Huntingon Ingalls Industries (HII), America’s largest military shipbuilder. There, she led the company’s AUKUS-related strategy and business, and oversaw the establishment of Hll l s international operations in Australia and the United Kingdom. She also previously managed the growth strategy for the company’s Research and Development (R&D) and Other Transactions (OTS) portfolio.
Before joining Hll, Ms. Katina spent over six years at SAIC. As a Senior Analyst for Corporate Strategy, she co-led the development of the company’s enterprise defense strategy. In corporate development, she played a key role in the management and integration of SAICI s $1.2 billion acquisition of Unisys Federal. She began her career at SAIC in Government Affairs, contributing to industry government collaboration on policy surrounding OTS.
