Delivery Director - Defence at NCC – Innovating for Industry
Heather has over 30 years working in defence and security, across MOD, Academia and now as Defence Delivery lead at the National Composites Centre (NCC), part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. She has led both transformation and capability programmes, and delivered across all TRLs from research, through procurement and in service failure analysis.
Over half of her career has focused on defence innovation and bridging the technology “valley of death”, identifying and developing all the other “readiness levels” that need to be understood and corralled. In her current role at NCC, she is now “walking the talk” around manufacturing and supply chain readiness and building the UK’s industrial resilience.
