Giorgio Parolini

Giorgio is an energy engineer with expertise in leading multiple teams to drive transport decarbonisation forward. Giorgio currently leads the aviation decarbonisation team at the World Economic Forum, overseeing several public-private sector collaboration initiatives and industry engagement within the organisation.
Before WEF, Giorgio was part of the Energy & Mobility Strategy team at KPMG in London, and headed up the UK Government’s Advanced Fuels team at the Department for Transport, supervising the delivery of over £200m of funding and designing a world-leading programme of support to build a UK sustainable aviation fuels industry.
Giorgio holds a BSc in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Tongji University of Shanghai, and an MSc in Sustainable Energy from Imperial College London. Giorgio also collaborated with the University of Cambridge as a policy fellow.
