George Ferguson is the Global Head of Aerospace, Defense and Airline research for Bloomberg Intelligence, the research group at Bloomberg L.P. He leads a team of five that publishes financial research on defense primes and tech manufacturers, space companies, commercial aerospace manufacturers including airframers and engine makers as well as the airline industry.
Previous to joining in 2009, he worked as an analyst on global debt and equity funds for BlackRock and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and as a banker at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Mitsubishi Bank. For 13 years he served in the U.S. Army Reserve including as an intelligence officer in Baghdad and Nasiriyah in 2003 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. George is a CFA charterholder, private pilot and earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Penn State University.
