Paul Lemmo is vice president and general manager of the Sensors, Effectors and Mission Systems (SEMS) line of business at Lockheed Martin. He is responsible for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of a diverse portfolio that includes radar, electronic warfare, acoustic systems, laser weapon systems, counter-UAS, airborne mission systems, launching systems, maritime systems and uncrewed vessels-capabilities designed to enhance customer effectiveness and achieve mission success. The SEMS portfolio also encompasses service-oriented programs, including ship integration, testing, and cyber operations, ensuring end-to-end mission success for our customers. In this role, he oversees ten domestic sites and international operations in the United Kingdom, supporting a workforce of more than 9,500 employees.
Previously, Lemmo served as the President of Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company. In this capacity, he was responsible for leading 11,000 employees in the strategic growth and program execution of Sikorsky’s government and commercial rotorcraft platforms, including the H-60 Black Hawk and Sea Hawk, CH-53K, Combat Rescue Helicopter, S-92 and S-76. He also served as the vice president of the Sensors & Global Sustainment line of business for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). In this capacity, he was responsible for the execution and strategic growth of advanced sensor and sustainment programs with more than 5,000 employees around the globe.
With more than 35 years of experience, Lemmo has held positions of increasing responsibility in business development, engineering, and program management. Previously, he served as Lockheed Martin’s senior vice president of Corporate Strategy and Business Development responsible for global strategies, new business capture and leading the strategy and business development organization with offices in 25 countries and 25 U.S. customer locations. In this role, he was also a member of Lockheed Martin’s Executive Leadership Team.
His other prior assignments included vice president of Strategy and Business Development for two Lockheed Martin business areas, where he led new business captures and strategic plan development and managed customer relationships. He previously served for eight years on the Lockheed Martin Ventures Investment Committee, which provides governance and oversight of Lockheed Martin’s investments in early-stage technology companies.
Lemmo is a member of the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, supporting business growth in the region. He is also a member of Drexel University’s President’s Leadership Council and the University of Connecticut’s Board of Advisors.
Lemmo graduated sum ma cum laude from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an Honorary Doctor of Engineering Degree from the University of New Haven.
