Neil leads the global manufacturing function for Rolls-Royce, making its net zero technologies a reality.
Reporting to the Chief Technology and Strategy Officer, manufacturing is in Neil's blood. He is a fifth generation manufacturing leader with 30 years of both technical and commercial experience, creating competitive advantage by industrialising the latest physical and digital manufacturing technologies and approaches. This ranges from using digital twins in their infancy in the 1990s to the creation of Rolls-Royce’s additive manufacturing (3D printing) capability. This drove the rapid development of the worlds largest load bearing engine structure made from significant additive components to fly on the XWB-97 flying test bed to the introduction of extremely advanced high temperature nickel superalloy combustion components, impossible to manufacture through conventional means for the Pearl 10X engine that will power the Dassault Falcon 10X.
